On Tuesday, February 15, at 8:30 a.m., John Eastman, director of the Claremont Institute Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, co-counsel Manny Klausner, William Becker, and Don Wagner, and students from the CCJ's student clinic at Chapman Law School, will appear before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey (Dept. 55, 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles, CA) to argue against a demurrer (or motion to dismiss) that was filed by the County in response to the Institute's lawsuit contending that the County's precipitous decision to remove the Cross from the County seal was both an unconstitutional hostility toward religion and an unlawful waste of taxpayer funds.

David Hernandez, one of the CCJ's clients in the case and the official proponent of the L.A. County Seal Initiative, which will require the County Supervisors to return the Cross to the County Seal, will be on hand with signature petitions.
