Andrei Znamenski is Professor of History at the University of Memphis, where he teaches World Civilizations, History of Religions, and Russian History. The author of five books, including Red Shambhala: Magic, Prophesy, and Geopolitics in the Heart of Asia (2011), he also writes for The Independent Review and Mises Daily.
